ArcGIS Server Users and Roles
Hello everyone,
We currently have our users and roles stored in ArcGIS Server which were used with our flex maps. In moving over to Geocortex we'd like to continue using them as they're already set up.
Is there a way to configure Geocortex to use the existing credentials in ArcGIS Server? As in allow users to sign into viewers with their ArcGIS Server logins?
If not, is there a relatively easy way of importing these credentials to the Identity Server (instead of re-creating them manually)?
Thanks!

Hello Harold,
Unfortounately you cannot use your ArcGIS server users when logging into a site. Also I don't think that it is possible to import the users from ArcGIS server to Identity Server.
I don't know if this is an option for you, but if you have an active directory domain, you could create a group in AD, and add your users to it, then grant that group access to the map. I think that would be the quickest way to accomplish your goal, without needing to create a bunch of new accounts.
Thanks!

Hi Danny,
Thanks for your response! Active Directory is a good option but since we have a lot of external clients, we decided to just manually define all of the users and roles in the Identity Server which seems to work just fine.0 -
No problem Harold, glad to help. Don't forget, you can do a hybrid deployment as well (IE Active Directory, and Identity Server).
Happy Holidays,
