Cannot access to site list in the Geocortex manager (4.4.2)

    Hello Ahmad,

    This error can sometimes result after the security settings aren't properly set after running the Post Installation Configuration step. Can you re-run this program and confirm that the correct Sign-In providers are configured? Can you also click on the Hosts... button and confirm that the correct URLs for your instance are configured?

    Hi Stefan,

     

    Thanks for the efforts, I Checked the security  providers, the hosts, my url. evey thing seems to work pretty well. 

     

    the source of the error is the same as renaming a site form the sites folder ! after removing the site from the folder then the manger works fine and displayed the site correctly without any issues. 

     

    Its a weird behavior why this should prevent me from entering the manger! If the Geocortex having an issue with one on my sites it should blocked it not block the whole manger.

    Never copy a site folder in Windows Explorer without changing Site IDs in the Site.xml, duplicate Site IDs will cause problems.

    You're absolutely right, Ahmad: Manager should handle this condition more gracefully. There is an outstanding improvement request for this issue (GE-4136); I've added you as a stakeholder and will talk to the Essentials team about prioritizing this improvement for a future Essentials release.
