Pass Preview Extent value to workflow
Hi all,
Using Print Map in Sliverlight viewer, a person can see a preview window by clicking Preview Extent. The extent is adjustable by changing map scale.
Is there a way to pass the user selected extent to a workflow?
My idea was to call Print Map (run external command) -> ask user to choose the layout, resolution, scale and see which area will be printed -> get all the info from user and generate a map (from a hidden map service) with a title
Thanks

+1 - very keen to find a way of passing the print preview extent to a workflow. In our case a workflow is required to add related data to a Print Template so can't use out of the box printing. The Print Preview function I'm guessing reads the height and width from the Print Template _MainMap control then takes the centre of the current viewer's map window and applies the relevant distances to create the Preview extent. 0 -
+1 I 'd like to do this too. Or at the very least: how can I hook my workflow to run each time a PRINT is made? 0
