Geocortex Essentials Features Summary and Feature Matrix
Hi folks,
This is a bit of a two-part announcement: firstly, the (https://support.geocortex.com/resource/1451948023000/featurematrix) Geocortex Essentials Feature Summary and Feature Matrix is now available on the Support Center. This document contains a high-level summary of the features available in both the Silverlight and HTML5 viewers and the slightly different philosophies behind them. It also contains a side-by-side comparison of which features are currently in one, the other, or both viewers, along with our plans for current and upcoming feature development for the HTML5 viewer, with a focus on our upcoming release of Essentials 4.5. I know many current Silverlight viewer customers are evaluating both viewers to assess feature parity as they consider migrating; I hope this document helps with that evaluation process.
Our standard caveat applies with respect to our product roadmap: this document reflects our current plans, but these plans may shift over time. As this document is updated, I will post updates in this Announcements section to keep you up-to-speed.

That brings me to the second part of the announcement: there's a new section in the right-hand column of the What's New page for documents like the feature matrix, deprecation plan, and life cycle support documents. I've created this section to reduce the amount of hunting required for links to these documents in the What's New feed or the Community posts.

Dumb question...what's the difference between a checkmark and a circled checkmark on the matrix?

The circled checkmark means that feature is exclusive to that viewer so you would not expect to see another checkmark in the same row.
At the bottom of each page there is a note that states this :)
