Selecting Run a Report clears selection.. Why must it?

    Hi Justin,

In the HTML5 viewer, the "Run a Report" task does keep your selection. The pushpins disappear but the selection is not cleared. Let's say you use the "Identify" tool to make a selection and then click "Run a Report", below each report heading in gray is a stat that tells you how many features are selected and will be included in the report. If you want a feature map included for each record, then you need to set that up in the Essentials Map under Site > Map > Layer List > Edit Layer > Feature Maps and "Add Feature Map".

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Hi Carmen,

Thank you for your reply. It's too bad I can't rename the thread now that I know for sure the selection remains intact despite the disappearing pushpins. This is not how the SLV behaves when running the report, wherein the selected parcel does appear graphically selected on the same report. I do understand the GVH5 is a different beast, and so appreciate your suggestion on how to include a feature map.

I followed your directions, but afterward see no change in its behaviour on this. What I just now noticed, though, is that up until now I was clicking the Actions menu only on Feature Detail view of the parcel, so did not see what you describe as "below each report heading in gray is a stat that tells you how many features are selected". When clicking the Actions menu in the results view, only then do I see that stat.

Regardless, I still lose the pushpins the moment I click Run a Report. How can I retain them in the report? I believe I did everything you instructed. But perhaps I'm misunderstanding them.
