GE H5 Viewer 5.2.5 editing feature limitation?
Why I can only add NEW feature, for instance, polygon, but there is no way to edit (modify) existing features (like it was in SL Viewer)?

There should be an 'Edit Feature' option in the Panel Actions Menu when you have a feature selected. Also, you can add an 'Edit Feature' to the maptips of features. 0 -
Thanks, Dan. Yes, it works sometimes. But most of time "Edit Feature" is grayed out, disabled for no reason. For exact same layer I just edited and it was available. I can't get any reason why viewer works (actually doesn't) this way?

Do you have both the mapservice and featureservice in your viewer? Why are there 3 results in the Identify? Maybe the maptip with 'Edit Feature' greyed out is actually for a mapservice.
Are there any Fiddler errors? Maybe your services are acting up.
Sorry for all the questions!0 -
Services themselve are working fine, no issues. In the Site configuration (Site.xml), [Layer List] tab contains 3 layers of “DynamicFeatureLayer” type. In the [Map Service] tab I see the same 3 feature layers and one map service. No idea why H5 Viewer Identity tool shows many lines for some features. Probably that my layers collection is not interpreted properly by H5 Viewer. I'm working on it right now. Thanks, Dan. 0 -
btw, what is a "maptips" in H5 viewer? I have no idea. 0 -
Maptip is the box that appears under the 'I want to..." button when you click on a feature. It is what is in your screenshot. If there are multiple features at the point clicked, then a dropdown box will appear in the Maptip, as well as arrows and numbers, that lists all the features (you can cycle through them with the arrows or use the dropdown box). You configure this for each feature layer just like the Identify tool. I think by default every layer added to a site has Identify enabled and Maptips disabled.
It makes me wonder if you have conflicting settings between your featureservice and mapservice. You would have to test the settings for each layer to find out.0 -
I reconfigured my site and, with your help, I can edit my test layers. Point, polygons are okay, but now I have issue with lines. I can edit this layer too but I can't save my editing. I got the error from message like that. Looks like it some internal error. This the only layer that has Z-coord. Could it this "Z-aware" be an issue?

I've never used a featureservice with Z values, so I don't know. I've actually never used any feature with Z values, so I don't know if they are any different.

Yes, it was an issue. H5 Editing module just crashes when you try save your editing into z-aware layer. It's not smart actually, some data verification should be performed I guess. When I removed Z-coord. from the layer editing tool works fine. 0 -
One more question. Looks like H5 editing module doesn't do any advanced editing, that was available in Silverlight viewer. I mean operations such as cut/join polygons. Is that true? Thanks. 0 -
I have the same question. Anybody? 0 -
No advanced editing for GVH yet. But I think they mentioned it coming soon in their last Road Ahead webinar. 0 -
Do someone has any idea could we use advanced editing (split polygon, union) in v.2.6? And how to make these
tools available?0
