Convert/Upgrade a SL Viewer to HTML Viewer

    My advice is to treat your SL viewer as a legacy viewer and start from square one when building your HTML5 viewer. The difference in user experience and capabilities are pretty profoundly different in some features, and you won't be getting the most out of the HTML5 viewer if you just replicate your SL viewer functionality in it.

     

    I know that rebuilding from the ground up can be a major pain, but in my experience it's also the best way to make sure you're using the new platform to its fullest potential. Also, if you follow that process for at least the first couple of viewers you rebuild, then you'll likely have figured out some good templates you can copy from them during your other SL viewer conversions.
