I should add that even though they are checked on, they dont seem to be enabled.  I have to untick and turn back on in order for snapping to work???

    Hi Chris,

This was identified in 2.5.2 and has been fixed for the upcoming release. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Was this fixed. We have GE 4.9 and HTML 2.10 and we are seeing the layers showing up as Snappable. In Manager they show the Snappable checked on but greyed out. These 3 layers are from another server and they are feature layers.

    Hi Jimmy,

I can confirm that the original issue that was posted is fixed now.

It looks like the checkbox being disabled for feature layers stems from an old limitation in the Silverlight viewer.

In the underlying Esri API that the Silverlight viewer uses, our feature layers are drawn with client graphics.  These can't be disabled for snapping, except by removing the layer or turning off its visibility.  In order to make this clear, in Essentials 3.12 we made manager show that you can't disable snapping on feature layers by greying out the checkbox (the change and reasoning was tracked GE-2626).

Given that you can toggle snapping on and off for feature layers within the HTML5 viewer, it doesn't look like this limitation should exist there. I would recommend posting in the Ideas section (https://support.geocortex.com/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1) to request that we update this configuration to accomodate making feature layers non-snappable for the HTML5 viewer.
