Instant search not returning results on one field of several in indexed service
I'm not sure if this started with the GE 4.5 upgrade, but one of the fields in an indexed service is not returning results in the results pane. The value autopopulates as you type, and you can choose it, but then you just get the message about no results to display. Other fields in the same layer work as expected. The field values are displayed fine in the feature details & description, and a workflow query on the same layer/field is also fine. It seems to be just the combination of instant search with this one field. I have reindexed the service search index twice. Is there something else I can do?

I'm wondering if the bug noted in this thread (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCForum?main-nav=essentials#!/feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_DETAIL&dc=All_Essentials&criteria=ALLQUESTIONS&id=906600000000BhCAAU) is my problem. The account numbers in this field are in the format 'R1010001147', so if the global search/instant search is failing on mixed strings, that might explain it. While I have an existing workaround with my workflow-based search on the home panel, I really need the consistency of searching by tax account number in global search. LG, still wondering if this serach problem is a bug, and if so whether it has been logged or if I need to create a support case.
Thanks.0 -
I'm having the exact same issue, Heather. I've tried to delete and recreate the search index but the problem persists regardless. The problem field in my case contains hyphens (e.g. 025-664-450). Here's a link to the site: http://maps.rdos.bc.ca/Html5Viewer/?viewer=PublicParcels
The correct value shows up as an option when I start typing in the search term but when I select it the results returned are totally different. This is a HUGE issue for us. If LG could weigh in it would be greatly appreciated!0 -
Hey all,
From the symptoms you are describing, this sounds like GVH-10390. This issue is fixed in GVH 2.6.1, which should be released very soon.
If the issue persists past the upgrade, please open a support case.
Thanks!
