Add arcgis content to HTML5 viewer
Does anybody know whether it's possible to add ArcGIS Online content to the HTML5 viewer.
Obviously we can now do this with references in Manager, but I'm interested in having a user add their ArcGIS Online content to an HTML5 viewer, from within the viewer.
I see there are ArcGIS Tools to view the content and to save the map to ArcGIS Online... I imagine that the ability to view the content and then add to your viewer is not yet available. I didn't know for sure and wanted to ask the community if this was possible, or if anybody had implemented something like this in a workflow perhaps?

Anybody have a way of doing this? 0 -
what version of the HTML5 viewer?
I think in the latest Road Ahead webinar it was mentioned that the new viewer can search for and add content by URL. It didn't specifically say if that included AGOL content or not. Might be worth checking into though.0 -
We are now at HTML5 2.7.
I just tried linking directly to an ArcGIS Online dataset endpoint using the upload data tool and was unable to add it to my map.
I'll have a look-see in the admin guide to see if I can configure this tool to work for my needs...0 -
Hi Erik,
Sorry for the late reply, but for the benefit of others reading this, as long as the ArgGIS Online content is public, it can be added using thew 'Add Layer' button in the viewer. You would need to make sure this button is added to the toolbar in Manager first. If the content was not public you would need to have an ArcGIS Online based viewer.
I hope this helps,
