Search Table - how to format descriptions?

Using Essentials 4.5.1 and set up a search table.  Using HTML2.6.1.

 

I am trying to format the long description, but none of the options are available as with map service layers.

 

I simply want the following, with returns after each line. 

 

Firehouse Occupancy ID: {occup_id} 

 

{Address}    {apt_room}

 

Property Use Description: {PropUseDescript}

 

Mixed Use Description: {MixedUseDescript}

 

Construction Description: {constdescript}

 

Roof Cover Description: {RoofCoverDescript}

 

Length:  {length}     Width: {width}

 

Flow Rate:  {flow}

 

But in the HTML viewer, it appears as:

If I attempt to use <br/> for a line break, I receive a big "potentially dangerous error detected".

 

What am I missing?

 

Also, I am trying to determine if I should use Data Links or Search Tables for my situation, but I cannot seem to alter/format the display of any fields from the Linked Tables, either.

 

Ultimately, I am trying to display data from Firehouse application for a selected address.  This data describes what is at that location, best entry, building construction, roof construction, standpipe info, etc.  Previously, this has been accomplished in a Flex application:

This is as close as I am getting in the HTML viewer.  I would like to make it more compact in the results so that they can see most info in one place.  If switch to Table View, it helps, but the Fire personnel need to click as few things as possible.
