gvh 2.7 - 'Save Project' doesn't save added layers

Hi everyone!

 

I'm testing the new viewer 2.7 and I was looking forward to see new funcionality 'Add layer'

 

Unfortunately 'Save Project' works fine with MarkUp layer and imported layers (via Upload). When I open project all layers (added via add layer)  are gone.

 

Anyone has same experience? Is this the way 2.7 should work?

 

This funcionality is quite critical for our users and it's bit silly if they need to add a layer everytime they launch viewer.

 

I would appreciate any thoughts about possible workaround.

  I don't have much experience with the Add Layers functionality, but a possible work-around may be Layer Catalog.  You essentially load any layers users may want to add into a layer catalog site, link it to your main site, then add the layer catalog button to the tool bar and users pick the layers they want. 

   

  We have had success with this and no issues with saving the map with added layers. 

   

  One other note is that there seemed to be some issues with saving projects with GE 4.6, but 4.6.1 has fixed these so if you're not running 4.6.1 it may be worth installing that and testing save functionality w/ Add Layers tool first.

  Yep, we are running 4.6. I'll do some testing and will share back outcome.
