Fields shape_area and shape_length not visible
Hello!
When identifiyng polygon features from an arcgis server feature service in html5 2.6.1 viewer, the fields shape_area en shape_length aren't displayed. Arcmaps shows the fields though.
Is there a way to make these fields visible in the geocortex viewer?

Hi Idris,
If you go to the Arc REST endpoint of the layer, are the fields "Shape_area" and "Shape_length" listed under the Fields section at the very bottom? Here is an example of a layer with those columns listed in case you want a reference: http://aws-dmags2.geocortex.com/arcgis/rest/services/LosAngelesCounty/Dynamic/MapServer/16
As long as those 2 columns are listed at the REST endpoint, then you can expose them in the viewer by played around with the settings in Essentials Manager > Site > Map > Layer List > Edit Layer > Fields Tab.
I hope this helps.

For a feature service the shape is not available, compare http://aws-dmags2.geocortex.com/arcgis/rest/services/LosAngelesCounty/LA_CSR_Sync/MapServer/0 and http://aws-dmags2.geocortex.com/arcgis/rest/services/LosAngelesCounty/LA_CSR_Sync/FeatureServer/0. 0 -
Hi Carmen and Nico
Thanks for the quick replies. The fields indeed aren't visible trough the rest endpoint. We recently upgraded from arcgis 10.0 to 10.4.1. In 10.0 the fields were visible in a web application created through arcgis server manager. Probably because the feature and the map service were combined together in the viewer automatically. So I suppose I have to add the associated map services as well to the geocortex viewer to make these fields visible?0 -
Yes indeed. But if you also want to edit this layer in the viewer, you will have to add the map service and the feature service. 0
