Add layers tool fails to add a map service in GVH 2.7;

Hi All,

 

 

 

I tried to add a layer to the map but it fails to do that and returns this message

 

“no result to display”

  We're having the same issue.  Both with the add layers via search and adding from Layer Catalog.

   

  THe search "doesn't find anything" despite the full REST URL auto populating.  The Layer Catalog shows the layers and says they are being added, but nothing actually gets added.

  Hi Lubna,

   

  Thank you for the example map service. I am able to search the layer in GVH 2.7. What I do is to add "http://geo.molg.pna.ps:6080/arcgis/rest/services/" into the service connections, and then enable "search in: manager and viewers" and "search for: map services and layers" settings in the service discovery settings as

   

  the picture shows. In the viewer, you can search the service URL or the key word "Arabi" or not input anything in the textbox, and click the search button.

  You mention the layer catalog issue, could you elaborate the issue or give us more infomation? like a screenshot or console error? what type of map service (with token secured or not) is it? could we have the map service if it is possible? Feel free to email or contact the support team.

  HI Lubna,

  We got the catalog issue resolved with v2.7.1 of the viewer.  It was a known bug.  However I am still not getting any results with the basic Add Layer tool.

   

  All of our connections are set to be searchable in manager and in the site. 

  If I start typing in the URL of the servive I want to add, it will auto complete it for me (so it knows it's there) but then the search finds nothing,  When I search for a basic theme like "weather" nothing happens.  I don't even get the impression it's trying to find something.  This is a significant downgrade from the add layer tool in SLV.  A user shouldn't have to know the URL of the data they want to add.  And there should be some indication that a search is actually happening.
