Geocortex 4.6.1 cluster setup

Hi Everyone, 

 

I am attempting to setup two nodes(machines) as a geocortex cluster. I have created a shared location for the Sites and Temp locations and configured the same in both nodes.

• On the master node (node-A), I could view the cluster essentials endpoint.

On the secondary node (node-B), when I load the rest manager, I don't see sites. I see the following error when I access the sites page. There are no errors accessing the other pages (like Security, Connections)

 

An error occurred while processing your request.

 

The cause of this error is unknown.

 

Any help is much appreciated. There is hardly enough information on cluster setup in the documentation.

  Hi Matthew,

   

  Unknown errors are tricky to troubleshoot without looking at the server in question.  I suggest that you open a support case, so that myself or one of the other analysts can assist you!

   

  You may also be able to find some clues in the REST Manager log files, located here by default:

   

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\default\REST Elements\Manager\App_Data\Logs

  One main issue I have is the lack of documentation related to the whole clustering setup. 

   

  For instance on the master node once I setup the cluster there is an essential manager url for the cluster like below;

   

  http://master-node/Geocortex/Essentials/<clustername>/RestManager

   

  There is no information whatsoever on what the essential rest manager url should be for the slave node. 

   

  Should I have a 

   

  http://slave-node/Geocortex/Essentials/<clustername>/RestManager

   

  There is no information in the documentation about how we setup sites in the cluster. I belive these should be fundamental information available in the help documentation related to the cluster feature.
