Disable Pushpin for Layer
Hi there,
is there a way to disable pushpins for a specific layer?
Or any future plans for this?
Thank you

Unfortunately I think the answer is no, but I'm very interested in your use case. Would you mind sharing what you're trying to do by disabling pushpin for a specific layer? 0 -
When making a specig selection with thousands of data (exemple: roads layer) the pushpins are not very interesiting to see on the map.
Another case would be to specific make one layer more revelant than others in the map, and having pushpins only available for that layer.

Both of those particular cases sound like good opportunities to rethink what information you're trying to provide and how you're doing it.
In the roads layer example, an option would be to control what layers are identifiable at different scales. For example, when zoomed out to an entire city or larger, you could use a roads layer that isn't identifiable or clickable. You could have a duplicate roads layer (either in your map service or just added twice to your site) that only draws at larger scales and is therefore only identifiable when the user can get a manageable number of results.
In the second case, you have three ways to let users select features from layers: map tips, identify, and search. In general, I prioritize my layers by making the most important ones searchable, the next level of importance clickable, and the lowest level of still being important identifiable. In that system, the most important information is the attribute data you can't necessarily see from a visual scan. The next most important are individual features like parcels where you want to know more than just where they are (but whose location matters). The last is the reference layers you can generally understand just by looking on the map, but maybe you want extra info or to see their full extent.0 -
I would like to make pushpins available for point layers only. And have lines and polys show as selected features. 0
