Coded / Descriptive domain values in Identify, Map Tips and Reports
I’m having some trouble displaying descriptive values for coded domains across all Geocortex functions. This would include the Identity Tool and Map Tips in GVH5, and across all reports. I don’t recall seeing if this was addressed in the past. I know that I can set up a Data Link within my Site for each layer I’d like this functionality, but I thought Geocortex was to be able to view Descriptive values for all coded domains (at my choice) natively. Is there a setting I’m missing? Or is this functionality that is planned to be addressed soon? Thanks!

Hi Andrew,
What version of the HTML5 viewer are you using? I've tested the 2.7.2 release of the viewer with the sample ESRI service below and the coded domains work.

How are your coded domains published compared to the field below?
typdamage ( type: esriFieldTypeString , alias: Extent of Damage , length: 20 , Coded Values: [Affected: Affected] , [Destroyed: Destroyed] , [Inaccessible: Inaccessible] , ...2 more... )
Thanks,

Hello Mike,
Im using HTML5 2.7. The complete build is 2.7.0.0591.
I thought this functionality was available in this version of the Viewer. Is it required that I upgrade for this?0 -
Hi,
I checked the service I linked earlier in GVH 2.5.1 and coded domains work as expected.

Do your coded domains appear published the same way as the ones on the sample server?
Thanks,

Hello Mike,
No, my services dont look the same as the ones on the sample server you sent. They are secure services, but I dont think that will have much to do with it. Other services of mine (non-secure) do look like the sample you sent, but the coded domains do not appear to be functioning the way I expect with them either.
Not sure what to make of this. Any ideas? Or should I submit a full support ticket?

Hi Andrew,
I'd recommend submitting a support ticket with a link to the unsecured service with coded domains and what you expect to be seeing in the viewer.
Thanks,
