Allow Time Slider extents to use current date (DateTime. Now) as variable.
It would be very hepful if the HTML5 time slider control could use the current date (ie DateTime. Now) as a max parameter, and allow current date - x number of days. For example, DateTime. Now - 30 to have a moving window of the last 30 days of data as the extent. Otherwise, the extents have to be manually edited on a regular basis.
Even if only available in a workflow, it would be helpful.

I'd like to add on to this rather than create another request: could we link the extent for a slider to a map service's time extent? It would be a similar convenience to the adminstration of time-enabled apps. 0 -
For me this is a bug or shortsighted. I have data constantly changing its time extent. In the slide I need to have the current date as max extent. Currently I put it until the end of this year, so at least it capture the current date but it is misleading. 0 -
Along the same lines as the original request, but could we use the current date as a minimum parameter? I'm trying to display a variable with an expiration date, and not having to manually update the time slider's extent would be helpful. 0 -
We have a Time Aware layer that changes the Minimum and Maximum time extend everyday (its rolling forecast window). I'm using HTML5 2.9 in GCX 4.8.2. Once I add or import a Time Slider in to the viewer, the Slider Minimum and Maximum is set and does not change. It is not feasible for me to go in to Essentials Manager everday to import a time slider to change the time extent. 0 -
Enabling a "dynamic end point" to the time extent time slider would be of benefit to our organisation also. 0 -
I would also like to add to this request rather than creating another request. Is it possible to add current date and time to the end time or max parameter? 0
