Map Tip Actions "Add to Results"

Hi, I'm a bit confused by the "Add to Results" option in the map tip actions menu.  This doesn't seem to save items to the Results List?  How can the "Add to Results" items be viewed?

  Hi Dan,

   

  I sent you an email on your support case.

   

  Just in case anyone else is having issues with the "Add to Results" button, it doesn't work correctly unless you do an Identify operation first. There is a bug ticket for this issue and hopefully it will be corrected.

  Any update on this? We have 4.9 and are seeing bizarre results where a user runs a workflow that selects one or more features on the map. After the selection is made, the workflow exits, leaving the results selected and in List View. Then, the user closes the results list when done. Then, they click on some other feature in the map and the "Add To Results" option is available in the map tip. Clicking on it does not re-open the results pane and show that the clicked feature is in the result set. It just changes the link in the map tip to say "Remove from Results."  If the user does not run the workflow first, the "Add to Results" option on the map tip is not avaialble.

   

  It seems that hitting the "X" on the list view (or presumably the table view), it does not actually clear the collection. It deselects the features in the map but the viewer still seems to think there is an active results collection... when there should not be.

  Hi Lance,

   

  Can you tell if the "Add to Results" option on the map tip is out-of-box or something that was added after?  With version 4.9 and 2.10, the Add to Results option is now part of the toolbar and the "Enable Add Results" option on the flyout when the Identity option is selected.  You may be seeing an option that was added and no longer supported.

  Hi Wayne -

   

  The only thing I recall doing to map tips was removing the Add and/or Edit feature options as we don't want those options for our users. We never specifically added the "Add to Results" command to the map tip. Would you need to see our Desktop.json.js to confirm it's setup correctly? Feel free to email me if you have additional questions or need a screen-share.

   

  I see the "Enable Add Results" option in the Identify toolbar in the viewer, I'm guessing that is part of the "IdentifyToolControlRegion" in the RestManager / Viewer toolbar settings. I don't see how that would impact our map tips though. Thanks!

  I've encountered the same issue. I just upgrade to 4.9.2/2.10. Any timeframe on when this will be fixed? Will Mike's solution work?

  Hi folks,

   

  This issue was fixed with the release of Geocortex Viewer for HTML 2.11.1:

   

  20936 ‘Add to Results’ only works when the results came from an identify operation.
