Site counter recommendation?

Does anyone use a site counter to monitor the number of visits to your viewers?  If so, what are you using (and where to you place the code snippet)?

  Hey Mike we use Google Analytics.  I realize it is probably not the best "counter", but the price is right (free).  The code goes in the index.html file in inetpub/wwwroot/YOUR HTML FOLDER
