Search Table Behavior
It's great that you can now configure HTML5 viewer to search for tabular data and link to map features (via data link searches), but its not terribly user friendly. I think end users would like to enter a search term in the global search window, and have the map return the spatial feature directly.
An example: we have a parcels layer and each parcel has an assessor file number (AFN). If the parcel happens to be a condo, there will likely be multiple AFNs associated to it via a one to many data link. If a user enters one of the AFNs that is accessed via the data link, the map should return the related parcel in the initial search result. After all, in a mapping application, when users search, they generally are interested in the question "where is it?". In some cases, that may be the extent of their interest.
As it stands, figuring out "where", takes too long. You get a tabular result from your search. The user must then click the result to see the details, then, possibly be required to scroll to bottom of the panel, then click the link to the spatial feature which is configured there. Now, finally, they are zoomed to the spatial feature.
There may be use cases where the current behavior is desireable. If so, I'd request that an admin be able to configure this alternate behavior optionally.
Thanks

Yes, this feature is one of the reasons I'm still running a Silverlight viewer internally for staff. They like that they can search for an owner in our tax database through a search table and see where the land parcels are located. For example, if you know a person owns multiple properties throughout a large geographic area, but you're looking for a property they have in a specific area, you can quickly focus your search by clicking on the push pins there. Please bring this functionality to the HTML5 viewer! 0
