Test globalsearch results for count > 0

I have a workflow that launches the GlobalSearch using RunExternalCommand.  I now want to determine if the GlobalSearch didn't return results.  If results = 0 then redisplay the form with what the user had entered to allow them to modify the search and launch the GlobalSearch again.  How do I access the GlobalSearch results from a workflow to determine if the results are > 0?

  With the Get Selected Features activity?

   

  But I think you will need to show an instruction the user has to click on a button to continue te workflow when the search action is finished.

   

  But perhaps you could use an External Delay activity (in combination with a loop?) after you global search command.

  Thanks Nico!  That was the hint I needed.  And yes I've incorporated a External Delay activity in my workflow.
