Text Box in Display Form with Default Value - Cursor Jumps to the End
I have a custom address search tool in a workflow, and the text box where users can enter an address is prepopulated with the City and State as a default value (,Colorado Springs,CO). Users would be expected to enter the street address before the city and state.
The problem is the cursor. When the form opens, the cursor is blinking on the left as if it is ready for the user to enter a value in the correct spot. However, when you start to type, the cursor jumps to the end of the string (so now the value looks like ,Colorado Springs,CO123Main St). This is very annoying, and will be a pain for users of our public app who will not receive any training or use this often enough to figure it out.
How do I get that cursor to stop jumping to the end as soon as I start typing?

Hi Tami,
We've seen behavior like this crop up a few times, usually in Internet Explorer and Edge, specifically. Which version of the viewer are you running and which browser (or browsers) are you seeing this in?0 -
We are running viewer HTML5_2.7.1 and I see this in IE. I typically work in IE, so I tried this in Chrome and it seems to work OK in Chrome.
Is there a fix for this? This is for a public app, and we will have no control over what browser is used to access the app.
Thanks!

Tami, we have the same issue try using a "Textbox" rather than a "TextArea". 0 -
Update: this issue is resolved in the 2.8.1 viewer. 0
