Incorrect attribute display following update to Essentials 4.6.3?

I updated arcgis server and sde from 10.2.2 to 10.4.1 then updated Essentials from 4.4.2 to 4.6.3.  Following this update, layer attributes no longer correspond to the configurations in the arcgis server services and publishing mxds.  That is, attributes turned on for layers in the publishing mxd don't necessarily show up in the layers in Manager; and, attributes not turned on for layers in the publishing mxd sometimes still show up in the layer in Manager (and subsequently when identifying on data in the viewer).  The arcgis server service configurations and the layer configurations in Manager seem disconnected.  Has anyone else experienced this disconnect?  Is there an incompatibility between arcgis server 10.4.1 and Essentials 4.6.3?

  Follow up note, this is only happening to a few layers and only on Silverlight viewers.  The feature attributes are present in Manager (show up in pulldown menus for selecting labels, etc.) and show up fine on html5 viewers, but not on Silverlight (2.5.1) viewers.

  This might be a bug in the Silverlight viewer. Unfortunately, there won't be any new releases of the Silverlight viewer.
