Allow Export to Shapefile
We are using HTML5.2.6.1. I hope this is a softball question and that I am blind and completely over looking the obvious. How do we allow the end user to download a layer as a shapefile? We do not as a rule allow data to be downloaded, but I am trying to test something on a test site.
Can this be controlled on a layer by layer basis?
Thanks!

Hi Michael,
The HTML5 viewer has an option to export currently selected features to a shapefile, but nothing to export a layer to a shapefile. If this is an option you would like to see, I recommend posting it to our Ideas board (https://support.geocortex.com/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1) so that other users can also vote to have it implemented in a future release.
What you could do to get the layer in a shapefile is select the Identify tool, and then click the subtool "Identifiable Layers". Then clear all of the layers except for the one you want to export, and do an identify operation that will capture all of the features in the layer (or at least as many as we are allowed by ArcGIS server to capture at once!). From there you can click the context menu next to the "Identify Results" title and select "Export to Shapefile".
Hope that helps!
