Returning a full record from a data set consumes much performance

Hi all,

 

I have a data set that can reflected by the server. the number of records exceeds 2000.

 

Returning a full record from a data set consumes much performance. If this feature is fully available for users, then they do not use limitations for their queries and to much performance will be consumd for this feature.

 

Is there a solution to reduce this consumption?

  You can reduce the Max number of records reurned to a lower number (500?).  Depends on what you want your users to be able to do - if they need to access more than 500 records at a time, then this will not work. 

   

  Also, for a layer like this, with many records and fields, make sure that this layer is in SDE with proper indexes.

  Thank you, Mike for your answering.

   

  The point here that many users need to see all result that related to community name, or all  parcels in a given community, etc.

   

  What you suggest?
