Amazon S3 Outage: Impact and Workarounds
As many of you have already discovered, an (https://status.aws.amazon.com/) Amazon Web Services outage has wreaked havoc across the Internet, as its many, many users have had their own services fail as a result. (http://status.arcgis.com/) ArcGIS Online and the ArcGIS JavaScript API are among the affected services, and this has caused problems for some Essentials sites and for the HTML5 viewer.
For Geocortex Viewer for HTML5, the lack of availability of the hosted ArcGIS JavaScript API can be worked around by using a local copy of the API, which ships with viewers version 2.5 and higher. You can find more information on using the locally-hosted API in this (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCkba?sub-nav=kba&main-nav=essentials&feedtype=SINGLE_ARTICLE_DETAIL&criteria=BESTANSWERS&id=kA3600000004NkkCAE) knowledge article .
Unfortunately, sites using content based in ArcGIS Online will continue to be adversely affected until Amazon is able to restore service.
