writing to a txt file in workflow

Hi Geocortex Workflow Users,

 

I have a hopefully simple request. Within a workflow I want to append some text in a txt file for the purposes of custom logging.

 

I don't want to use the System or Geocortex logs nor do I want to write SQL records, json, xml, or use a C# script.

 

I see the Write Line activity but unfortuantely there are no examples of how to use it and its TextWrite object input.

 

Does anyone have a simple example of opening, appending some text, and closing a text file?

  Hi All,

   

  More more quick note.  The location that your textfile exists has to be accessible to the user. In my case I made a local folder on the server and the placed the textfile in it. I then made the local folder a share permitted to Authenticated Users. You will have to play around to create or use a folder path that work given your network or local sercurity settings.
