featureset example

I am trying to understand where to look for a particular Workflow Example from the list of examples provided with the standard "Sample Sites." (normally installed in this location: \Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sample Sites\Workflow_Samples).  I see "Get FeatureSet Extent" in the list of samples, but I don't understand how I am supposed to find the example .xaml if the Path is listed as "None."

  What do you need help with?  All that you do with that activity is feed it the featureset of interest and take the envelope that it returns you.  You can then use that envelope to set the viewer extent amon other things.

  Thanks Zack,

   

  I did figure out the way to use the activity, but my question still stands:  What OR Where are the PATHs to the examples in the Sample_Sites where the "Example Path" says NONE?  (Makes it hard to look at an example when a location isn't given.  Should these examples even be included in the list??). This seems to be a wierd oversight by Latitude.  Anyone from Latitude want to comment?

  Hello Michael,

  The Workflow Samples site contains examples of the more recently added or complicated workflow activities. The items listed as None do not currently have an associated sample workflow. We are only adding new examples for new activities, or those specifically requested for.

  Stefan,

   

  Hmm, then maybe the list of "Examples" with None should go in another list?  Maybe they should go into a list of something like: "Simple descriptions of what a workflow activity does."  In other words, having "None" as a path in the list of examples is kind of confusing and creates a level of frustration when a user looks for an example, finds a listing and then realizes there really isn't an example.  See what I mean?

  Thanks for your feedback. I've updated the text in the associated Excel file which is displayed in that table to read 'No Sample Available' so that this is more clear.
