Instant Search for AGOL hosted map services

I'm getting an error when I try to generate an instant search index for a map service hosted on AGOL (my own). Is it not possible to use instant search with AGOL services? GE 4.5.1

  Hi Rebecca! Instant Search should be able to index AGOL services. I've forwarded your error to a developer for comment. Is the site secured? If so, is it secured via Windows Integrated or Identity Server?

  I think what may be happening is the service itself is returning an error page, which causes a JSON parse error because the error page is HTML. Is the service public?

  Okay, I see the same error. It looks to me like the URL Instant Search is querying is invalid. I've filed a bug (CORE-2697) -- I'll follow up after a developer has had a chance to take a look.

  I was able to index your feature layer once I removed the token from the connection string, e.g.: http://services.arcgis.com/U7kxTIxKEKeXs30y/arcgis/rest/services/PublicParcels/FeatureServer/0

   

  If you try that, does Instant Search index correctly for you?
