It appears this was resolved in a newer update - dated October 2016

    Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.7.1

GVH-11664   Cannot Edit Multi Point Feature

Thing is, I sent in a ticket about this last month and received a reply the GE provider saying

"We did ask Latitude about this one and the current viewers (Silverlight and HTML5) do not support multi-part geometries yet in the out of the box Editing tool-sets. We do not have a time-frame for this but until then they recommend using building workflows or just using single geometry feature types and using the out of the box Editing tools."

    So which is it?

    Hi Sylvia,

Sorry for the confusion on this one.  GVH-11664 fixed a critical issue where attempting the edit existing multpoint geomerty would cause it to stop rendering map data and produce JavaScript errors in the browser console.  Unfortunately, the bug title was not very descriptive of the issue.  This was fixed in 2.7.1.

Here's a summary of the HTML5 viewer's current capabilities for mulipart geometry:
    • Create New Feature tool should allow you to successfully add new features to the layer, but the tool provides no functionality for making multipart geometry.  So you are restricted to creating single-part features on your multi-part layer.
    • Edit Feature tool should allow you to edit existing multi-part geometries even if they do have multiple parts.  The tool provides no functionality for building multi-part geometry, so you cannot add new parts to your feature's multipart geometry.  This sounds the same as described in your previous post about the Silverlight viewer.
    • Workflows should be capable of creating multipart features, but require some set up to do so.  The DisplayCaptureGeometry activity has a built in multipoint option, but for multipart lines or polygons, a more complex workflow may be required.
If you were hoping for the ability to create multipart geometry using the out of the box Create/Edit feature tools, I would recommend posting to our (https://support.geocortex.com/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1) Ideas section  so that other users can vote to have this capability brought in as well.

    Again, sorry for any confusion.

    Amanda
