Ability to have default site and viewer configurations

As I go through each of my sites changing stuff for the newest versions, I was thinking how I will need to remember all of this when I create a new site...  I suppose I could create my own vanilla site/viewer that has my preferable default settings and then just copy them to create a new site, but it would also be nice to have this set up as a regular feature...
