How can an end-user add a password protected OGC-service to the viewer?

We would like to have to following functionality: an end-user of Essentials can add an OGC-service to the viewer that is protected by login/password. End-user enters login/password and is able to use the OGC-service. Has anybody suggestions?

  Hi,

   

  Unfortunately, this isn't possible out of the box with Essentials or the HTML5 Viewer. It would take custom work to change the way we make requests to OGC sevices and then framework around getting the credentials from the users. 

   

  I'd recommend submitting this to the Ideas section with your use case.
