Label using a workflow
Is it possible to create a workflow to display labels for a particular layer?
ie. line feature with id, material, depth etc attributes
for example.
User will;
Click Label by ID button line features will display ID labels
Click Label by Material button line features will display material labels
Click Label by Depth button line features will display depth labels
I know I can get them to use the Label Options Module but I'd like to make it a "one click function"

Hi Kenneth,
To the best of my knowledge, this is not possible from a workflow. There are no related workflow activities, and the related viewer commands require objects that can't be used in workflows. I would reommend posting an Idea (https://support.geocortex.com/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1) to request the addition of an activity or workflow-usable command that can be used to control labelling.

You could have a makeshift version. Add a "ID Label" layer to you .mxd that only shows the labels and no symbology turned off by default.
In Geocortex hide the "ID Label" layer from the TOC then have a button to toggle the layer visibility. Without resarching further I am sure I have seen a command or activity to turn on/off a layer.0 -
Hi Mark,
Yes, I think that would be the best workaround for now. The SetLayerVisibility activity (or SetLayerListItemInfo for folders/group layers) would be the activity to use for that.
Thanks!
