Is it necessary to start with '=' always on the Expression?

How to know whether starting with '=' or not on the expression? It always suggesting to start with '=' on the expression, but it does not complain without starting with '=' on it too. If it is not mandatory, why suggesting to start with '='?

  Hi Munhwan,

   

  Expressions always start with =. If you don't start with = then the input is treated as a literal string, which will also be valid in many instances.
