What is the best way to test that a clustered environment is configured correctly?
I am setting up a clustered environment on 3 servers-2 GCX Essentials servers and 1 GCX Core server. I've updated the web.config files for the GCX servers, created shared directories, and copied the sites folder to the network share.
All of that is working and I can see my sites on both GCX servers. I am not sure how to test that the clustered environment is sharing GCX Core data. I do see that there is a "web.config" file in the App_Data directory in the GCX Core directories. Is there a way to test / verify that data is in fact being shared as changes are made to the system? What I mean is can we see file updates? GCX Core database udpates, evidence of any activity? What is the best way to test a practical scenario? Simply stop GCX Core services on one machine?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello Stetson,
If you RDP to one of the servers, you can open a web browser, and navigate to:
http://localhost:19200/_plugin/head
If you can see all three nodes, that will confirm that Geocortex Core is clustered across all three nodes.
I hope that helps!
Thanks,

Thank you, Danny!
Are there any test steps or test cases that you have used to verify that the clustered environment is functioning as expected? Before we go into production we have to be able to test the behavior.

Hi Stetson,
If your new environment is not in production, I would suggest simulating node failure by disconnecting the network from one of the nodes while you have some test users hitting the map. You can also do a clean shutdown of one of the nodes, or "pull the plug" (IE turn off a node without shutting it down safely)
Thanks,
Danny0
