Stop measuring when I click the x on the yellow measure info bar at the top of map
Currently in the html 5 version 2.9.0 viewer, when I initiate the measure tool, a yellow bar appears at the top of the map with an x to close the bar at the right side of it. I can then click and add points to the map to measure distance. I can also click and drag the map. When I'm done measuring, it seems like I should be able to click the x on the measure info bar and be on my way however, after clicking the x I then click on the map and instead of getting the default map tips info window I continue measuring. Is there something I am missing? The only way I can currently get the measure tool to turn off is to select another tool.

Jeff,
The behavior occurs with all the draw tools as well and likely others. In previous versions clicking the X on the floating message bar for the activated tool did exactly that. I am not sure this is the intended behavior for the newest version and I want LG to allow us to optionally change this (I believe they call sticky) behavior. For our users I want to click on the X and stop the current command/tool - just like it did before. I temporarily added the ClearActiveTool command to the I Want To menu to get the desired effect but that is not the preferred solution. I have a help ticket into LG to see if this can be fixed with an edit or something.
Best regards,

Terry,
I've discovered that if you click on the measure tool again it stops measuring. I personally belive it's a bug that the X doesn't do the same thing as currently, it seems to have no purpose. I hope they fix it. Good to know you have a ticket in.0 -
I would like this behavior to be configurable. This is an issue in Identify and markup tools as well. It would be even better if this is user configurable as well. So the administrator can set the default behavior in Manager, then user can also set their own preferred behavior if they do not like the default. 0
