add or remove feature from selected features
One of our viewers has a mailing list workflow that allows users to select parcels using a point, line, polygon, etc. I would like to make it possible for users to add or remove a single feature so they can refine their selection sets as needed. Is there a command I can add the the map context menu or somewhere else that'll do this? If there's no existing command does anyone have a workflow that'll do this?

There is a workflow in the Code Gallery called Mailing Labels Workflow that I had LG make for me earlier when the HTML5 viewer had less features. The ability to add or delete from the selection is included in that. 0 -
Thanks Mike! Do you happen to recall the command or set of commands used? Complex workflows are a bit beyond my ability. 0 -
You notice the part where I said I had LG make it? I'm also not much of an expert when it comes to Workflow. If you download that sample, it was well documented, so you will be able to find that part fairly easily, but it is not a simple thing to explain... There is a form to select how to select features, then it goes different ways depending on whether the use is add to, or deleting from, the existing selection.
On the other hand, the existing viewer now has the ability to do this out of the box, so I don't advise folks to use that workflow any longer. Originally in the viewer, the buffer was not made into a graphic that could be printed. This is what prompted me to have LG make this workflow in the first place. That is also out of the box now.0 -
How would I configure the out of the box solution you mentioned?

What version are you on? Not sure how long it has been there, but when you do an Identify, the ability to add or subtract when using the identify tool and when working with result sets. If I remember correctly, the ability to work with result sets has been here for a bit, but maybe the Identify came with the last upgrade...? In any case, I don't think there is configuration needed, it is just there if you have the right version.

I just looked at the Combine Results, and you can do some interesting stuff (see bottom image). If your version doesn't support this, you can see it on my site at: https://maps.srcity.org/Html5Viewer/Index.html?viewer=parcel

I would like to see an attempt to bring back the "star" that was next to each selected record (list view or table view) in HTML5 like it was in Silverlight. Simply unclick the star to highlight/unhighlight it. This was incrediby user friendly. My clients still bug me about it to this day and ask me if it is ever coming back! :-) I would like to see some of the Silverlight basics brought back such as the star, the L-R scroll bar for the toolbar at the top of the map (if tools extend beyond width of the map no second row of tools are created, shrinking your map space), the Manually Enter Coordinates box, and the ability to type in any scale without being locked into the preset cached scales.
Here's a few sites using Silverlight. Zoom in and select some parcels and click the stars. It really is a helpful tool!
