Workflow 5 - How do I test drop down list

I'm just trying Workflow 5, and I have little prior Workflow experience.  I'm trying to create a workflow where the user selects layer and then visualization (heat map or feature clustering).  I've set up the drop down list, but can't seem to set up an IF activity to test the user choice.  This is what I tried:

 

=$form1.state.dropDownList1.current=10

 

but this is just guess on my part looking at the documentation (not good for IF).

  So, it seems that this is actually setting that value, not testing a condition.  So, it seems I should be able to use =$form1.state.dropDownList1.current but I need to know how to test whether that is equal to some value...
