Click X on tool status box does not deactivate tool
GVH 2.9
After upgrading GVH 2.9 several users have complained that clicking X on the tool message box (the yellow bar displayed at the top) does not deactivate the tool. Is there a way to change this behavior so that clicking X would deactivate the tool?
Thanks

I was told by Geocortex support that this is an expected behavior. The actions were changed in order to allow to remove the prompt to save space on the screen while keeping the tool active. I know that my users DO NOT CARE FOR THIS FEATURE AT ALL.
There is an idea posted here: (http:// https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCIdeasDetail?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&id=087f20000004VSYAA2&main-nav=essentials&sub-nav=ideas) https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCIdeasDetail?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&id=087f20000004VSYAA2&main-nav=essentials&sub-nav=ideas
Please be vocal and vote for this. Perhaps there is a way that would allow for this action to be configured for either the old or new functionality within Manager.

I agree 100% - this should be configurable because it does break the previous behavior. The only (not preferred) work around I know of is in that post you mentioned.
Thanks,

I just voted in the idea. It would be even better if this is user configurable as well. So the administrator can set the default behavior in Manager, then user can also set their own preferred behavior if they do not like the default. 0
