Editor Tracking in a Workflow
In an HTML5 viewer, we are able to edit a feature service with Editor Tracking enabled and are successfully getting the Autheticated User populated in the field. NOW, I would like to get this working in a Workflow. Has anyone had success doing this? When I connect to the feature service/layer the same way I do for normal editing in the Site (through the web adaptor on the Geocortex server) the user comes up as "IIS APPPOOL\EssentialsAppPool4".
Thank you for any help.

Hi,
Unfortunately, there is no support for Feature Editor Tracking in workflows as there is no secure way for the EssentialsAppPool4 to impersonate the editor in the viewer. I haven't tested this in the new Workflow product, it could be possible as everything is client side.

In a workflow I use "get user" to assign a username to a created user field (note it only assigns a username if your users sign into the viewer, otherwise the default is esri guest or something similiar) 0 -
Hi Boby Jo Close,
How did you managed to do this ?
//In an HTML5 viewer, we are able to edit a feature service with Editor Tracking enabled and are successfully getting the Autheticated User populated in the field.//
Becasue when I add a feature service to map in GE, it comes with preconfigured username and password that are defined in ArcGIS Server. It does not matter that who is logged in to HTML5 viewer, only that preconfigured username will be added to editor tracking.
Seems like that you have found the solution, Can you please share that ?
Thanks,

our ArcGIS Server is set to web tier and is inside our Trusted Network and we have a web adaptor on that server with the same name as our Geocortex server.
Good luck!!
