Query on Date Field without Time in HTML5

I know there are bugs around the display form date picker showing times.  I'm wondering if this also applies to the filter and query in the viewer. For example, I have a postgresql date field (not timestamp) and when it is queried on the form shows a date. Once you click the calendar the date goes away, but I'm wondering if there is a way to default with date only.  This is both for the query and filter function in HTML5.

  HI Krystal,

   

  When a query is made on a date type field, the design is for the calendar to appear.  That said, there is little control, then, if you want to have an idea of the data already populated in that field, as the calendar shows just today's date. I have filed an improvment in our systems (GVH-16798) for some of the data in the date field to appear (as a dropdown) as well as having the calendar for choosing a date.
