Esri online maps display in Manager, yet the site fails to initialize
First of all, I'm using Essentials 4.4.2 and HTML5 2.5. When I add an Esri online map service, I have to work with the service extents in order to get it to display, then I can set the initial and full extents to the map and everything looks good in the Essentials Manager. Now when I try to view the website, I receive an error telling me that the site failed to initialize because the connected host has failed to respond. I've checked the log files and there is no information there.
I think I've setup my site to use a proxy, but not 100% sure.

Hi Jayson,
This could be a number of issues, I would recommend submitting a support case for it. Can you look at the developer tools (F12) console window for errors? The network tab of the developer tools should also show the request for the map services and any errors in the responses. Finally, I would check the viewer log by clicking in the banner area of the viewer and long holding the mouse button.

Today I've figured it out. If I select the service in Essentials Manager and select 'initial extent' from the pop-up menu, the map will zoom to the location. I can then zoom down a bit and set the extents at the new level. After doing this, I am able to completely initialize the website and therefore able to finally view my map!! 0
