Add Pushpin in Startup Parameter

Is it possible to add a pushpin and center to a coordinate using startup parameters? I've setup a startup parameter url that includes centering to a coodinate and zooming in by setting a scale level but would also want to mark or add a pushpin to the given coordinate location.

  You should use a workflow for this, and run this workflow with the run or runWorkflow URL paramater. coordinates and scale should be input arguments to the workflow (and are also URL parameters).

   

  Create a MapPoint with the given coordinates. Use the PanToPoint viewer command with the MapPoint as parameter to pan. Use the ZoomToScale command to zoom. Use the AddMarkup command to add a point. I'm not sure it is possible to add a pushpin not related to a feature.
