Vector Tile Service and Printing/Export

Hello, we're reporting a bug in printing and exporting maps containing vector tile services. The result is a blank map. We tryed with this free service https://basemaps.arcgis.com/v1/arcgis/rest/services/World_Basemap/VectorTileServer on GCX 4.9.1 and HTML5 Viewer 2.10.

  Hi Guido,

   

  We're aware of issues with printing and exporting vector tile services.  Originally there was a behavior in the Esri API that would change the address of the service to be a non-vector service; now it appears to be including the image in the data we are sending to Essentials, and Essentials is not including it in the print job.

   

  I do not have any estimate when we will addrses this issue.

  Hi Tim,

   

  This functionality will be introduced with the series-5 printing product called Printing 5.  The next version of the viewer, version 2.12, will work with Printing 5 in anticipation of Printing 5 being released in early 2019.  For this reason, and for the sheer amount of work required, it will not be added to the existing product.

  We've been using Printing 5 templates to print vector tiles, but since we upgraded to GE 4.13.1 and HGV5 4.13, the templates do not show up in the viewer printing layout dropdown list.

  Would've been good if this was flagged in the Known Issues section for every release since Vector Tiles were supported! We're doing an upgrade and have struck this issue and there doesn't appear to be a fix without implementing Printing 5.
