get current user activity

When I am using get current user activity in Workflow Designer in Roles which are output arguments it always returns null values when I run it with Portal for ARCGIS as identity provider whereas when i run it with Windows Integrated feature It shows up Different type of Roles available in my domain. Though Roles are defined in Portal like viewer, Admin ,Publisher, Editor. What could be the reason???
