javascript in home panel

Is it possible to use Javascript in the Home Panel?  We have a Power Outage viewer that we've built and want to display some statistics from the data directly on the Home Panel.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how we could go about doing this?

  Hi Sara,

   

  It is possible to use Javascript in the Home Panel, but because the Home Panel is loaded by inserting content directly into the viewer DOM there is no support for running a load event, so it would be tricky to have something automatically load.

   

  You could have a button your users click that would fire a Javascript function that updates a form, or you could build a workflow form that uses runtime modifications that would update some part of the viewer with your desired data.

   

  With Workflow 5 this should get easier once we have the ability to run a Workflow 5 workflow when the viewer launches.  This should be available with the next release of the viewer.
