WFS layer - queryable

I am having issues with WMS/WFS in geocortex. We want to use WFS in our mapping applicaiton so we obtain new data weekly rather then waiting for our provider to send it to us every 4 months. 

 

However we are having difficulty adding WFS in geocortex manager, we cannot seem to connect to it in some version of G.E. I can add it as a layer from the viewer itself however I then cannot use the identify tool to see the attributes.

 

Could someone please test it in their viewer or GE?

  HI Sylvia

  The service is not https compliant.

   

  In http it works fine in geocortex, and I can see all the field attributes, from Geocortex Manager.

   

  But if your application use https, it will not work, becourse the internal reference in the wms/wfs service is with http.

  Hi Sylvia,

   

  I have tested and found the same results as Sebastian, I was able to add the service in Manager without issue and view all fields.

   

  I did have trouble getting it to load in the Viewer, but adding an entry to my viewer's proxy.config for http://services.land.vic.gov.au/  got it working.

   

  You mentioned that you "cannot seem to connect to it in some version of G.E." - I suspect you are seeing an issue with an older version. Please try updating the version for the instances where you are having trouble, that should resolve the issue.

  thanks, we were unable to upgrade our GE/html 5 version due to restrictions by our organization, however due to some other issues that occured, our organization was forced to upgrade and we noticed the WMS layer worked in versions of GE 4.8 and above.

   

  Furthermore, the proxy.config file and the asphx file had to be modified to allow http://services.land.vic.gov.au/
