List View vs Table View Question
We just recently upgraded to Essentials 4.9.2 and HTML5 2.10. Something is happening in the List View that was not happening before.
Now when you identify a layer in the map and go into the Results in the List View, the only way to flash the result is to hover your mouse over the name (Feature Label) of the result. If I want to zoom to the result and see the details, I have to click the name of the result because clicking the body of the result (Feature Description) does nothing. Before my upgrade, clicking any part of the result in the List View would zoom to the result and open the details.
In the Table View, this problem does not exist. If I hover my mouse over any part of the result, it flashes in my map. If I click any part of the result, it zooms to the result.
The Table View is acting as it always has but the List View is not. Was this an intentional change made by Geocortex or is there something not set in Geocortex Manager that I can change?

Hi John,
I can at least explain the change for the clickable area. In version 2.8 there was a big overhaul of the results list to add grouping, highlighting changes, new context menus, etc. After these changes, the whole feature label and description area were clickable because they were rendered as one big button. But that created some issues for sites that had hyperlinks in feature descriptions because different browsers handle buttons in different ways. For some browsers, hyperlinks inside feature descriptions were no longer clickable from the results list. This was tracked as GVH-14900.
Using a button for that navigation was a WCAG compliance requirement, so the resolution (rather than switching from a button to some other element) was to reduce the button down to just the feature label and chevron. In the end, less area is clickable now, but the change was necessary.
But I think the behaviour for the mouseover should still be to focus highlight (default blue colour) on the feature regardless of whether you hover over the label or description. If you're not seeing that, maybe test to see if it's the same for you on the LA County demo viewer (http://gedemo.geocortex.com/Html5Viewer/Index.html?viewer=La_County.La_County) , or if it's different between different browsers.
Hope that helps!

Hi Amanda,
Thank you so much for the explanation. That totally makes since for hyperlinks inside the List View clickable area. I do experience the same behavior in my sites as in the LA County Demo site so I'm good. I wanted to be sure it wasn't something I needed to set-up in Manager or not. As you said, it was due to the big overhaul you mentioned. Thank you again for your assistance!John
