common.css file missing in Site > Viewer directory
I have just started to notice that we get an error (in the developer tools) when loading just about every viewer (GE 4.9.1 + GVH 2.10.1) saying that the 'common.css' file can't be found.
It's looking for a version of this file at the site level (Sites > Viewers > Viewername > > virtualdirectory > Resources > Config > Default) and it's not there - seems to be by design, since it's on all sites.
There are also a few sites where it's looking for the 'common.css' file in the 'Styles > Custom' folder, also not found.
I guess I'm just wondering what the expected behavior is, and if I should copy the 'common.css' file from the HTML5Viewer directory in 'inetpub' to the individual site directories.
I should note that there are no obvious symptoms resulting from this error - sites load and appear to function correctly to the best of my knowledge. But having noticed this I am curious.
Thanks -
Allen

I noticed that too. You can simply create an empty file and call it common.css and save it in that directory. The error then goes away and nothing bad happens. 0 -
Thanks Mike -
That does it, so my OCD for errors in the dev tools is satisfied. Still curious why things seem to work this way by default, and if we may have made edits that resulted in this behavior.0 -
Hi Mike and Allen,
I filed this as a bug, should be an easy one to fix! (BUG 18427)
